I’m talking, the crazy deadlines, the 24/7 working, the stress, the lack of team spirit – POOF, a thing of the past.
We are recruiting a Creative Graphic and Digital Designer to join a family-run B2B full-service branding, design and digital marketing agency, based in Macclesfield.
They could not be further from the picture that the words “marketing agency” paints. There are currently 5 people in the business, you would make number 6. Working for a small company that packs a punch, you will have the opportunity to learn from the best and to work alongside colleagues that genuinely work together as a team, to get it right for their clients. The team are easy going, have a laugh and a joke with one another, and are all respectful of each other. The owners of the business have, and I quote, “complete genuine care for their employees.”
Growth and development topped the list when we asked the MD what’s great about working there – she prioritises the development of each member of her team, with clear objectives, you can attain salary increases more regularly than the typical annual review. Grace became Head of Design in 4 years, could you follow in her footsteps?
You don’t need me to tell you what a Graphic Designer does. In this case, you will work with a range of B2B clients covering a full scope of project types including brand development, website design, social media imagery, brochure design, PPT slide design, the list goes on… If you’re looking for variety in your role, you’ll find it here!
Your hours will be Mon – Thurs, 8.45AM – 5.15PM with an earlier finish of 4.45PM on a Friday. They set realistic timescales and expectations with their clients, which means no horrible and stressful deadlines for you, no late-night finishes, a well-oiled machine can work wonders for your stress levels! You will work from the comfort of your own home, with full equipment provided. The team meets up quarterly for a good old-fashioned activity day/night, to keep team spirit alive. They have Teams meetings every morning and catch up regularly throughout the day – you’ll never feel like you’re on your own.
At least 2 years of experience within a Creative Designer role. Unsurprisingly, you will need to know your way around Wordpress and Adobe XD as well as the Adobe suite, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, XD and After Effects. You will also need to be incredibly client focussed; it is vital that your main priority is the satisfaction of clients with your design work. This is probably the biggest challenge within the role, that you don’t stop until your client is happy and that you are able to take feedback, without taking it personally.
Although the role is WFH, due to the location of the business’ clients, you will need to be based within a reasonable vicinity of Cheshire, ideally around Greater Manchester, Staffordshire, Sheffield or Buxton.
The business was founded in 2015 by a husband and wife team with the sole purpose of setting themselves apart from other marketing agencies. In the past 5 years they have certainly done that. Just recently they have won another big project with a well-known brand, that you could very much be apart of.
